Description
Join us to learn more about the amazing biodiversity of Hong Kong's spiders!
Hong Kong's biodiversity is absolutely incredible. With just 1106 square kilometers, it boasts a staggering 3000 wildlife species, which is one of the greatest numbers in Asia. This small city is home to quite a few endemic species, but one group has always been overlooked and misunderstood: spiders.
Spiders in Hong Kong take up nearly 1/10 of the overall biodiversity, and although they do not leave the best first impression on people, upon closer look reveals some stunning species, such as tarantulas, dead leaf mimics, and even one that looks like a lobster! To see more of these eight legged critters, come join the talk on 17/2! See you there!
